How to wear what you want, when you want!

Rocking that red lip!!!

A hard topic , no matter what your age i'm sure everyone has asked themselves at some point... should I really be wearing that ? I have a love for crazy and eye catching clothing with vibrant colours and patterns , I also adore adore merging different styles of clothing to created the perfect mish-mash outfit but I often find myself second guessing and asking if I can really pull this outfit off . But I know I can embrace my personal style no matter how crazy it gets sooooo here are some of my tips on wearing what you want , when you want!

1. don't overly plan your outfits

This may seem different from what beauty bloggers but for me it just does not work... but wearing what you want involves a choice. You should be able to wake up in the morning and ask yourself ' what do you most feel like wearing?' , this is the next step to developing your personal style and allowing yourself to wear what you feel would feel and look good . You need to decide if you want to wear that crazy , yellow pom pom jumper or feel like sticking to a nice navy blue t-shirt... it's up to you ! But don't use this as an excuse to pick something boring , pick something you feel like wearing and not what you feel you should wear.

2. Buy pieces of clothing that you love

This may seem simple but true , many websites urge you to buy wardrobe 'staples' and this is all well and good but you should never buy something that you don't utterly love . When you put it on you should feel a spark, making you feel confident and excited! Don't buy a piece of clothing if it seems flat or not your style just because its 'in trend' because , trust me , you won't feel good wearing it and that's the whole point...right?!? Buy clothes that you actually want to wear and not because they are cheap or seem like the clothes other people are wearing . Developing your personal style makes you who you are and you should embrace this rather than sticking with the crowd.

3 .It does not have to be expensive to be loved

This is an important one. Just because it seems good quality does not mean that you will feel good in it or enjoy wearing it . Trust me , some of the best pieces of clothing I have ever bought have been odd bobs in the sale or things for under £10 in H and M . Your clothing should be fun and make you the most expressive version of yourself and if you are prepared to buy better quality clothes that are more expensive that's fine but don't believe that it's the only cute clothing on the market . If your on a budget you could even try shopping in charity shops or thrift stores to get good quality brands at a low price - you have just got to not be too picky or wait a while until you strike gold !
